The Magpul DAKA program expanded the brand's reputation for rugged, purpose-built equipment into a comprehensive ecosystem of protective storage and organization solutions. Built around durable TPU coated nylons, RF welded construction, and thoughtful utility, DAKA evolved from its foundational pouch platform into a diverse range of products spanning everyday carry, travel, outdoor use, and specialized gear storage.
The program demonstrates an approach to product development that combines material innovation, functional problem-solving, and cohesive product architecture to create solutions that support users across a variety of environments and applications.
DAKA PROGRAM
The Magpul EDC program extended the brand's rugged, purpose-built design philosophy into a versatile system of everyday carry bags. The program included the EDC15 Messenger, EDC18 Backpack, and EDC25 Backpack, supported by modular Media and Tactical Sleeves that expanded the functionality of the larger packs.
Designed around durable 500D TPU-coated nylon, weather-resistant YKK Aquaguard zippers, structured organization, and multiple carry configurations, the collection balanced professional daily use with Magpul's performance-driven heritage. The program demonstrates how material selection, functional architecture, and modular accessories can work together to create a cohesive soft goods product ecosystem.
